I’m a rabid, avid beader of art quilts. It’s amazing how easy it is to be seduced by those little glass, plastic, and metal orbs. As the “Self-proclaimed Button and Bead Queen of North Carolina”, I welcome you to my occasional ramblings about me and my art work. (When you give yourself a title, nobody can take it away, although I do have a really, really big stash!)
At one point in my life, I was dating a guy and we came up with personal mission statements. They were sort of our reasons for being in the planet. Here’s mine…
Nancy’s Reason for Being or ma Raison d’être
I do hereby declare that I am here on this earth to fulfill the following:
-to radiate light and love as I move through my life, and to walk in the shadows peacefully where I can embrace their lessons.
-to impart beauty in all of its many manifestations.
-to inspire gentle healing for all life forms by allowing energy to move through me.
-to strive for spiritual, emotional, sexual, and intellectual balance in my own life and with those around me.
-to seek the Highest Good for all in my dealings with others.
For myself, I want the following:
-constant connection with the Universal energy
What I’m trying to do:
I am creating a community of those who want to connect with each other with loving hearts and open souls. I want to create an environment where the divinity in each being is honored. I wish to actively promote a place where connection with the Universal Stream of Energy is attainable by all, and light and dark are given their due accord.
I hope that you’ll join in the conversations and share your thoughts and ideas about how I view the world and this amazing art form of art quilts.
